Hisaronu Holidays

This bustling resort is nestled in the mountains above Olu Deniz. The height of Hisaronu makes it slightly cooler than seaside resorts in the hot summer months, which is one of the reasons why it's so popular. There are plenty of great value hotels in Hisaronu, as well as lots to see and do. There's a regular market, as well as lots of shops, bars and restaurants along the main road. The dolmus (local bus) regularly stops in the resort, and whisks you to the world-famous beach at Olu Deniz in around 15 minutes. Holidays in Hisaronu are a big hit with families and couples seeking a lively getaway in the Turkish sunshine.

There are plenty of things to do on holiday in Hisaronu, including shopping at the local market, horse riding and camel rides through the nearby abandoned village of Kayakoy. Jump on the dolmus and head into Olu Deniz for boat trips, watersports and the beautiful blue lagoon. Daredevils can paraglide from the top of nearby Mount Babadag. For an authentic Turkish Bazaar, just take the dolmus in the opposite direction to the market town of Fethiye.

Nightlife in Hisaronu is vibrant, with a wide selection of bars, restaurants and a handful of discos. Many hotels offer their own entertainment, including Turkish barbecues, belly dancing and karaoke. The main street in Hisaronu is lit up after dark, with plenty of pubs and bars playing music.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Hisaronu offering a mixture of local, British and international dishes. Try Chinese, Indian, Turkish and Italian.
