Good News: Travel change is coming!
There have been some big changes in the world of travel over the last year. With borders reopening, restrictions reducing and traveling abroad on the rise again, we are excited to hear that even more good changes are upon us.
From the relaxing of restrictions in some of our favourite holiday destinations to the easing of rules in the air with Jet2. Let’s take a look at some wonderful, new travel changes on the horizon!
Jet2 are making moves and removing masks:
Jet2 has recently announced that it’s no longer “a legal requirement” to wear a face mask at their airports or on-board their planes- exciting news for anyone due to jet off with the company. Although Jet2 still recommends the use of masks, it is no longer compulsory; meaning passengers from England and Northern Ireland are free to choose whether they wish to wear masks on their flights. As the first major airline in the UK to drop mandatory face coverings on flights, Jet2 are starting movement for mask free flying.
With this new guidance in place, holidays will seem just that little bit more normal again.
Relaxing Covid Restrictions:
Italy:
Is anyone dreaming of touching down in the beautiful cities of Italy? Well, good news! Italy has relaxed its entry requirements for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers; meaning that Italian holiday you’ve been envisaging is one step closer.
Now accepting proof of vaccination or proof of recovery, Italy no longer requires fully vaccinated travellers to provide proof of a negative Covid test upon arrival. As for unvaccinated travellers, you will be able to enter Italy without the worry of quarantine- providing you give proof of a negative Covid test.
Want to know a bonus? Masks are no longer mandatory in most outdoor spaces in Italy. So if you are planning on taking in some of Italy’s famous sites, you can snap those perfect holiday pictures- without a mask!

Dubai:
Like many countries, Dubai too has become one of the latest destinations to ease its Covid restrictions and axe pre-departure Covid tests for fully vaccinated tourists. Which means if you have had a full course of Covid vaccinations, you will not be required to take a PCR test before jetting off to catch some Arabian sunshine.

Spain:
A firm favourite for many Brits, Spain embodies sun, sand and good times! For those of you looking to travel here, Spain’s latest guidelines have introduced a six month immunity policy. This means if you are travelling to Spain for “tourism purposes” and “are not fully vaccinated but have recovered from COVID-19 infection in the last 6 months”, you are able to enter Spain using the correct documentation.

Maldives:
The Maldives is up there with one of the top Bucket List destinations for Brits. With pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear oceans and havens of nature scattered everywhere, it is easy to see why. For those of you who are fully vaccinated, you can now jet off to the magical Maldives without the need of a negative PRC test for entry- making that once in a lifetime quiet escape, just that little more stress free.

France:
Au revoir restrictions, bonjour France! It is reported that France is due to lift some of its Covid restrictions from the 14th March as well. The current rules requiring a Covid vaccine passport to access venues and public transport are said to be lifting, with face masks to become no longer mandatory indoors. This has yet to come into force, but watch this space!
